At the beginning of Fall and Spring school terms, the TEXAS MU CHAPTER hold several informational meetings which are specifically designed to introduce potential members to Alpha Psi Lambda and answer general questions. If you are interested in joining, please contact any member it may or may not be too late to become an Associate Member.

If you do miss the informational meetings, don't assume that it's too late. Contact the Associate Member Educator as soon as possible.

A-Psi uses the intake process to acquaint both associate members and members with each other. During their intake process, Associate Members learn some aspects of what it's like to be a brother/sister. Associate Members will also learn and foster the teachings of our fore founders along with the values of Pride, Service, Education and Unity. Alpha Psi Lambda is open to all people regardless of race, sex, nationality, religion, creed, gender, or age.

 

Requirements:

arrow You must be enrolled as a part time student at the University of Houston - Central Campus.

arrow You must have a 2.4 minimum GPA.

arrow You cannot be a first semester freshman.

 

As a Associate Member, you will be asked to:

arrow Participate in at least two-service projects

arrow Attend member sponsored/hosted events.

arrow Attend all Associate Member meetings and pre-designated special meetings

arrow Become familiar with the fraternities history and organizational structure.

We do not haze since the point of the intake period is to introduce the Associate Member to all aspects of the chapter, and to ensure that all the members get a chance to meet each Associate Member. Alpha Psi Lambda is boldly opposed to any forms of hazing, whether it is physical or mental. All events involved in the intake process are strictly for educational and bonding purposes.
